The food was good and the coffee kept coming

Actually pretty great, food was great, service was great!! We went way back when they first opened and never came back because we did not have the patience towait for the food. The food arrived quickly & hot... loved it!!

Breakfast is pretty great, but the halibut burger was disappointment of spongy fish pulp

Don't see why there are so many negative reviews.. I have been coming here for a little while now as a Sunday brunch spot and throughout the week on occasion. Nice diner like anywhere else. The waitresses are all friendly, never had "rude" service. Food always comes out hot/well cooked, and I don't know about others but I always get big portions! Coffee always fresh too.. I love this place, and think they are doing a great job. Don't personally know the family that owns the place but they seem like great folks. more than once have seen them chatting with regular customers from the kitchen. Great job IDO

Decent food, relaxing atmosphere, fast service

I love the selection and flavors - one of the best in town!

One of my favorite diners in the Soldotna area serving breakfast any time of the day and endless coffee. The staff are friendly and the place is quick and delicious and very hearty. Good for the whole family and worth the price.

Nice eggs

For the amount of food you get, the prices were reasonable. The food was good, it reminded me of a Denny’s diner almost. There was a decent kids menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

I had read mixed reviews of this place so decided to check it out for myself. I was only customer in the restaurant and I thought it was a decent place. Food was yummy, especially the reindeer sausage and pancakes. Will return to try their lunch menu at a later date.

Good food friendly staff

Food was fair at best. They brought cold butter patties to put on a lukewarm waffle. Jeez. Service was ok. Tried the other breakfast place in town today, and it was oh so much worse.

One of the best places I've ever been for breakfast, we go as often as we can. Always consistent with the quality. Can't speak for their lunch or dinner as I haven't been in for either of them, but their breakfast is always a hit.

an absolutely underrated mum and pop sit down cafe and diner. great for tourists and regulars alike. the service may seem stiff, but you get a good size plate in comparison to restaurants of similar caliber in the area. oh yeah, the food is flavourful too! i recommend an omelette or the monte cristo; however there is: burgers, pancakes, salads (sadly the weakest option on the menu veganites), fried mushrooms, etcetera etcetera... something for everyone and lively even when the building is empty.

The table was sticky but it's probably because it's painted and the weather. The upside down coffee mugs sticking to the table was a little disconcerting, though. The food was really good- we got the reindeer sausage skillet. My two year old gobbled it up. The waitress dribbled coffee on the table every time she filled my cup which annoyed me, haha, but no harm done.She seemed to be training and I heard her tell the other girl "We're supposed to use the ice scoop" as she scooped with the cups. I know it's an extra step but it's because the cups and glasses chip sometimes and you'll get plastic and glass in your ice. Also, an accidental dirty glass will contaminate the ice bin. Just a heads up to the other waitress. Health code and all

Good family restaurant ate there twice for breakfast when visiting.

A true diner, which is exactly what we look for on vacation (and at home). The food was plentiful and good, and the place was filled with local fisherman and residents. People were chatting across tables about the local area and the food, which gave it an extra local flavor. Most of our party had breakfast, though others had burgers. If you are looking for something fancy, this isn't the place for you, but if you want good hearty breakfasts in the middle of the afternoon without overflowing amounts of tourists, check it out. the signs on the door that state that you can't bring in your own food say it all.

Don’t be fooled by these reviews. I stopped in because I thought I’d give this place a chance after seeing the reviews of people who have never came here HA! What a joke those reviews are. This place is yummy. Staff were nice. Place is clean sure outdated but clean none the less. The food came out looked and tasted good. Just bypass the poor ratings and give this place a try you won’t regret it.

Clean, good food with a taste, I had the Mushroom and Swiss burger with potatoe salad and a side of coleslaw, all was great tasting and you could tell it was all fresh ingredients, I will be back for sure!

Food is fantastic and in large portions. If you have 60-90 mins for your Sunday breakfast this is the best place in Soldotna.

I had a delicious Patty Melt. My family had breakfast. The pancakes were amazing. My son had biscuits and gravy which tasted good...but he ended up with an upset stomach. Not sure what happened there.I'm sure it's a very busy place in tourist season
